Temporary Event Notices - Rugby World Cup final and Tyson Fury

16 Oct
2023

England’s victory over Fiji on the weekend leaves them in the unexpected position of being the only remaining northern hemisphere team left in the competition after quarter-final exits for France, Ireland and Wales.

Their next game is therefore versus South Africa on Saturday 21 October 2023 (kick off 8pm). Should they conquer the impressive Springboks then they will face either Argentina or New Zealand in the final on Saturday 28 October 2023 (kick off 8pm).

If you were thinking about arranging a Temporary Event Notice (TEN) should England get to the final then you will need to think about doing so this week because if you wait until the weekend to see whether England win then it will be too late to apply for a TEN.

Another sporting event of note on the day of the Rugby final is Tyson Fury’s latest bout against Francis Ngannou. The fight is taking place in Riyadh With ring-walks expected around 10pm UK time. Again, if you wanted to arrange a TEN for this then you will need to submit the paperwork this week or be out of time.

If you need any help in submitting TENs – be it for the upcoming sporting events or you are looking ahead to Christmas – then please contact one of our Solicitors who will be able to assist.
